At Wishfish Studio I'm responsible for how things look: I design logos and visual identities, websites, flyers, catalogues, presentations, and graphics and reels for social media.

I came to design from marketing. I worked in it for a group of interior design and real estate companies, and today I do it for an educational foundation. I run websites on WordPress and Nuxt Studio, social media, Meta Ads campaigns, newsletters and a blog, and I track results in Google Analytics. Thanks to that I know what happens to a project once it reaches customers, and I design with that stage in mind.

I graduated in Small Business Management from the University of Gdańsk, so I also look at every project through a business owner's eyes: looking good isn't enough, it also has to work and sell.

What I love doing

I love nature, and since I live in a block of flats, I brought it onto my balcony. It's only 1.5 m², yet a dozen or so plants grow on it: wild strawberries, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, herbs and flowers. There's also a water bowl for birds and bees, because I want everyone to feel welcome.

In the kitchen I love baking most, although for a long time baking and I didn't get along. Today, after years of trial and error, cakes are my speciality, and each one is a small project: first an idea and a sketch, then precision, flavour and decoration refined to the last detail.

Music gives me energy, especially rock and metal. In 2024 I made a big dream come true and went to a Metallica concert.

Patryk

For over 10 years I've been turning static designs into interactive websites and apps. My speciality is animation in the browser: from subtle transitions and scroll effects, through elaborate SVG logo animations, to 3D graphics. I build websites and apps in Nuxt.js and Vue.js, and on WordPress, with a ready-made theme or headless.

I've worked with agencies and brands from all over the world. Among others, I was a senior front-end developer at the Danish agency BÆRNHOLDT, where I delivered projects for Novo Nordisk and Nixu. On Upwork I hold the Top Web Animation Expert badge.

I also take care of what isn't visible at first glance: loading speed, accessibility and clean code that's easy to build on. My favourite moment is when a website starts to come alive.

What I love doing

My way to take a break from the screen is bushcraft. I pack a backpack, pitch a tent or hang a hammock, and sometimes I just sleep under the open sky. An evening by the campfire deep in the forest, far from notifications and city noise, recharges me better than anything else.

When I get back to the screen, it's often just for fun. Computer games have been my passion for years, but I'll never say no to a good board game with friends either. I also enjoy Magic: The Gathering.

I'm drawn to imagined worlds, especially ones where someone built the whole story, rules and atmosphere from scratch. That's why I love fantasy and science fiction: from film sagas, through series that make it hard to resist "one more episode", to anime with polished animation and unexpected plots. Along the way I often look at how the motion and effects were made, because the animator in me never rests.

Together

We've been together for many years, and recently we've started working together too. Agata designs, Patryk brings the design to life in code and animation. That way nothing gets lost between the designer and the developer.

Outside work we like to stay active: walks, bikes and kayaks. We travel our own way, without all-inclusive. We prefer sightseeing, local food and stays in charming apartments rather than hotels. We both love animals, and at home we live with four fluffy chinchillas: Benek, Gienio, Henio and Bogdan. In the evenings we get lost in fantasy books, and our shared love is The Lord of the Rings. We dream of travelling to Hobbiton in New Zealand.
